By mid-August, only 1,077 out of 3,600 businesses and production facilities in industrial clusters in Hanoi were still operating thanks to the application of “3 on-site”.
Hanoi implements social distancing, so only factories and production enterprises in industrial clusters have a safe production plan “3 on site” (production, eating, resting on site) or “1 “route, 2 destinations” are approved before they are allowed to operate.
Therefore, according to a report from the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, by mid-August, only 1,077 out of 3,600 businesses and production facilities in industrial clusters maintained operations. Like many other localities, businesses applying “3 on the spot” face difficulties due to increased production costs, reduced labor productivity, and reduced production and business efficiency…
On the other hand, since before Hanoi applied Directive 16, some businesses have stopped operating and had to narrow their production scale, on average only about 80% compared to before… Therefore, it has a great impact on production. export and supply goods, ensure social security, employment and income for workers.
Faced with this reality, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade recommends accelerating and prioritizing vaccination for workers in industrial clusters, to avoid disruption of production and supply chains, both to prevent and fight Covid-19 and Maintain production at the enterprise.
Hanoi currently has 70 industrial clusters in operation, with a total area of nearly 1,400 hectares. In 2021, the city aims to promote and attract investment to establish 10-15 new industrial clusters.
